Work Ready Course – Recommended 2 -4 weeks (for those with fluent English)

Work Ready + English Course (Beginner to Advanced) – Recommended 2 – 17 weeks (for those who need to improve English)

When you arrive to work in Australia, come and spend some time with us – from 2 weeks to 17 weeks.
This is a great way for you to learn about Australia and working here in Australia.

If you need to improve your English, also participating in our English courses at the beginning of your trip makes sense.
You can also experience ‘the Australian way of life’ before you head off on your own.

Become ‘Work Ready’

You will be participating in Work Ready classes, organising your ‘Must Haves’, and discovering the ‘Pitfalls of working in Australia’ and how to avoid them, so that you have the best experience ever while you are working here.  You will receive a certificate listing the classes you have attended.

On your Excursion days out you will be looking at workplaces, identifying work opportunities, as you have fun and experience Real Australian lifestyle.  You will also have lots of opportunities to practicing ‘real-life English’, talking with Aussie locals, practice your conversations, learn ‘Aussie slang’.

The Sunshine Coast, on Australia’s east coast, is just an hour north of Brisbane and an hour and a half direct flight from Sydney.
The Sunshine Coast is a destination where you’ll be totally spoiled.  Enjoy amazing weather (over 300 days of Sunshine per year), aussie animals – see kangaroos, cuddle a Koala, rainforests, crystal clean ocean, long white beaches, waterfalls, nature, fun attractions, delicious food, destinations with the comforts of a city.

Feel the sand between your toes at the pristine beaches, watch the stars at night, visit the markets in the Hinterland, learn to surf, take a jet boat ride, sky dive, go fishing, bushwalk, swim or even do Australia’s only swimming with whales experience. Requirements:
Open to students on a Working Holiday or Visitor visa only. Not suitable for those on a Student Visa.  You will need travel insurance (including health cover).

Duration:
2 – 13 weeks – Tourist Visa
2 – 17 weeks -Working Holiday Visa

Welcome to Australia – Orientation Program (on your first Monday)
Two days of classroom lessons and College Activities
Two days ‘GTI Out and About’ Sightseeing Tours and Excursions – using your new English skills – visits to beach, wildlife and nature.
Opportunity to Cuddle a Koala and get your photo taken
Shop for Aussie Products eg souvenirs, Ugg boots, lanolin, paw paw cream…
Tasting Aussie foods, learning aussie songs and aussie slang…
Three days off to explore further areas eg.  Frazer Island, Great Barrier Reef, Gold Coast or do adventure activities and enjoy our outdoors…

Fees:
$600 per/week attending GTI International College.

Classroom lessons and College Activities:
Classroom English lessons focus on practicing your speaking and conversations and English to practice out on our excursions
Classroom Business lessons focus on learning new marketing and business skills.  You will receive certificates for the short courses completed.
You will also have time to do your online course lessons, so you don’t fall behind
You will have the opportunity to get any extra 1-1 help that you need with your course
Visit Oz program is fun, modern, active, and challenging. An exciting range of activities and excursions are offered. You will be fully immersed in the Australian culture and way of life.

End of Visit:
You will receive a Certificate proving the courses and activities you have been participated in.

  • FREE computer usage and WIFI internet access whilst at College
  • College Teachers and Staff are all trained in ESL and cultural diversity awareness

Accommodation
To really experience Australian Life, stay with an Australian Family – Homestay.
GTI uses Australian Homestay Network
All Homestay Families are friendly, caring and are experienced in hosting international students
Homestay includes all meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner plus transportation by car, to and from college
Food is typically Australian, although you can expect to have some familiar national dishes
AHN Coordinator is available to help you adjust to Homestay life (you will be issued with a 24/7 emergency telephone number)
Airport Transfers – Australian Homestay Network will organise your transfer directly from the airport to your Homestay accommodation.

Other Accommodation Options
The Sunshine Coast has a wide variety of accommodation that you can arrange for yourself.  Holiday units, Caravan Parks, Backpackers, student accommodation and share houses all provide accommodate options from 2 – 17 weeks.

Transport to GTI International College
Our small friendly college is based in Palmwoods, near the Big Pineapple on the Sunshine Coast.
Homestay: You can arrange them to drop you at the College each day
Train: Palmwoods is on the train line, with regular train services from Nambour and Brisbane.
Bus: Palmwoods has bus routes from Nambour.  All area of the Sunshine Coast have bus routes that connect at Nambour.
Own Car: FREE parking is available close to the College.

On your days off you can even:
Participate in Adventure Activities: skydive, jet boating, hot air ballooning, jetpack,
Explore Fraser island, the largest sand island in the world, in a 4WD vehicle.
